Grill chef Randy and Rainee, a couple who play together, stay together!



Grilling chef Randy and foodie wife Rainee on 25th wedding anniversary Grill chef Randy and Rainee in Cayman Islands,on a dive trip having just finished a fantastic simple grilled FRESH lobster on our 25th wedding anniversary in April 2010.

Our food photography is for the most part taken on our own and guess what, it really is our dinner. No fancy food stylists used on our shots, although that would be fun. These are really our at home dinners.

Chef Randy is here with his brothers Dean and Jon in the Lehr's Greenhouse restaurant a few years back.




Randy grew up in the restaurant and hotel business. They met just a few steps outside the kitchen of the restaurant they both worked at in San Diego.

He was trained at the California Culinary Academy in the classical French and Chinese cuisines and loves cultures and influences from all corners of our world. Over the years he has worked in his own family business Restaurant in San Francisco until he jumped out (Sure felt that way. Imagine moving with two small children) to move to Cabo San Lucas and run restaurants and a resort there for over twelve years.

Early on, he became Director of Operations of Hotel Hacienda Beach Resort but still personally worked closely with the wonderful chef,"Albino", and Food & Beverage manager, "Ramon", sharing his own recipes and suggestions along the way. They were a great team for many years!

When the Resort sold a couple years ago, it was time to move on to Hawaii, where he was General Manager of a Resort. Again, he oversaw the restaurants and menu development.Here he developed Nalu Grill, the poolside restaurant also.

Randy has been a consultant for restaurants, resorts and spas in Hawaii, California, Arizona, and internationally. We are living in Santa Fe, New Mexico (we love it here!). Randy is now free again to work full-time on consulting and this website, developing recipes and products for an upcoming store so you will see a lot of new information and recipes coming your way. We are grilling in ALL weather friends! How cool is that? Out there in the snow...Grill chef Randy in thermals, grilling the next wonderful meal ;0 Pictures to follow when the first snow happens. Right now it is perfect summer weather~

It has always been a shared passion, great food. So now we are taking it to the next level with both of us brainstorming recipes and sometimes jointly, sometimes just one of us coming up with the newest creation.

PS... By the way, our two greatest creations have to be our two children. Cheri, our daughter, twenty-one years old and Jordan, is our eighteen year old son. Both off to college, leaving us empty-nesters! Still, they are truly our all time ultimate joy and are "foodies" also.
