About our site:

In our reviews, we buy our test products whether food or equipment. We are not a sponsored site. If we do ever have a sponsor it will be clearly laid out.

We will not offer any product, service or supplier that we find substandard.

Our food photography is for the most part taken on our own and guess what, it really is our dinner. No fancy food stylists used on our shots, although that would be fun. These are really our at home dinners.

We do offer affiliates with our banners, we love to hear from you about our experiences, good or bad. We want to be your partners in great meals from the grill.

Chef Randy is here (center) with his brothers Dean and Jon in the Lehr's Greenhouse restaurant a more than few years back.


The Lehr brothers grew up in the restaurant and hotel business and operated nightclubs as well in San Francisco and San Diego.  Randy and Rainee met at Lehr's Greenhouse Restaurant in San Diego back in the early 1980s.

Although he had worked in the business all his life, Randy trained at the California Culinary Academy in the classical French and Chinese cuisines. Learning the cultures and influences from all corners of our world. Over the years he has worked in his own family business Restaurant in San Francisco until he departed the family business to move to Cabo San Lucas and run restaurants and resorts there for almost twelve years.

 Director of Operations of Hotel Hacienda Beach Resort he worked closely with the wonderful chef "Albino", and Food & Beverage manager, "Ramon", sharing his own recipes and suggestions and learning Mexican cuisine along the way. They were a great team for many years!

Post Mexico, it was time to move on to Hawaii, where he was General Manager of a Makaha Resort and Golf Club. Again, he oversaw the restaurants and menu development.

Randy has been a consultant for restaurants, resorts and spas in Hawaii, California, New Mexico, Arizona, and internationally. Now we are living in the gorgeous central coast of California ~ Paso Robles area and totally love it.

It has always been a shared passion, great food. So now we are taking it to the next level with both of us brainstorming recipes and sometimes jointly, sometimes just one of us coming up with the newest creation.
