Steak Marinade Recipe with Bourbon & Mustard

Looking for a great steak marinade recipe, well here is the all-American answer. Bourbon is the original American whiskey and the flavors from the barrel are great on the grill with food. The original marinade was from the Jim Beam Distillery, I changed it up a bit adding more pepper, red pepper, fresh garlic and ginger. This is a good marinade for steaks, pork chops and chicken. This is not a subtle marinade but has big bold flavors.

¼ cup Bourbon Whiskey (Jim Beam or chef’s choice)

4 garlic cloves smashed and chopped

1 tablespoon fresh ginger chopped

1 tablespoon black pepper

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

¼ cup Soy Sauce

¼ cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

¼ cup olive oil

Combine all, Makes enough to marinate 4 steaks or chops. Marinate steaks for 8-12 hours, lighter meats 4-6 hours.
