Steak Marinade Recipes

Why do we need steak marinade recipes? Sometimes you want extra flavor with your steak or perhaps you want to tenderize it a bit. Sometimes you want that extra flavor to make your meal have more flair. Check out these steak marinade recipes for outstanding meals that you won't necessarily find at the local steakhouse!

Marinades typically bring into play salt, acids and then flavoring agents. Some marinades bring into play enzymes to tenderize the meat. Because of the acidity most marinades should not be used in aluminum or pewter containers. Glass, stainless steel or ziplock baggies are great for marinating!

I almost always make my marinades fresh for the following reasons:

1. They have a more vibrant and lively flavors.

2. The vast majority of marinades are very easy. They just take a couple of minutes to whip out.

3. Homemade marinades do not contain the preservatives that store bought contain.

Sometimes if I am traveling or really feeling lazy I'll try some store bought marinades. There are some good ones. Tryy some of these, you will save money and have a great meal.
